Six seemingly different stories unfold across a major city on a Friday
afternoon. As the stories unfold we see the tiny details that somehow connect each story to the next. In true Norm Foster style, Office Hours makes us laugh at our humanity. Office Hours is an unconventional race to quitting time. Mr. Foster also wrote Hilda’s Yard, the comedic hit from The Lofte’s 2018 season.

Life With Father

Life With Father is the tale of an epic struggle to have father baptized. The story involves father and wife, Vinnie, along with their young sons, relatives, and friends. The 1939 product on Broadway ran for over seven years and still holds the record of longest-running non-musical play. (The play contains mild adult themes. We suggest PG 13.)

HELLO, DOLLY!

HELLO, DOLLY!, bursts with humor, romance, high-energy dancing, and some of the greatest songs in musical theater history. This musical details the exploits of Dolly Gallagher-Levi and is certain to thrill and entertain you. Dolly is a turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things” and finds herself in many romantic and comedic escapades. The show’s memorable songs include “Put On Your Sunday Clothes”, “Before the Parade Passes By”, “Hello, Dolly!”, and “It Only Takes a Moment”.

Becky's New Car

We find Becky Foster stuck in middle age, middle management at a car dealership, and a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. That is until one night when inept millionaire stumbles into the dealership where she works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life...and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun! The Lofte’s Director’s Choice of 2020 is a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.

We find ourselves following eight children through their Catholic elementary and high school education in the 1950s. This charming musical showcases the funniest parts of youthful growing pains and trying moments of adolescence. Each humorous number is sure to delight anyone who attended school, public or private.

A Dicken's Christmas Carol

The Styckes-Upon-Thump Repertory Theatre Company, a stuffy traveling troupe from England, has embarked on its “fifteenth annual farewell tour” of the classic Dicken’s tale. Mayhem ensues as the professional company attempts to keep the show going as everything that could go wrong does go wrong, to hilarious, absurd results.
